Sturdy, easy to install keyless lockJuly 14, 2010 geist(seattle, wa) I installed this keypad lock along with the lock-free handle Schlage F10VACC716 Accent Passage Lever, Aged Bronze. They look great together and it took me less than an hour to install both, replacing a traditional door knob and deadbolt on our front door. I like that I don't need keys to get in my house anymore, and I like that you can assign new temporary codes for guests to come by without having to make keys. It feels solid and the directions for resetting/deleting/adding codes were pretty straightforward.
Exelent choiceJuly 12, 2010 Freedom for All I think is one of the best password dead bolts out there. I tried the competition with the opening motor and it just wastes too much batteries. This one is great and I guess battery will last much longer.
I have used it for 4 months and the battery is still very good

There is a safety issue with this lock. You are paying about 140.00 dollars for the lock DEMAND from the company a better "bump proof" cylinder in the deadbolt. For more information on "bumping lock" go to the web site [...] or GOOGE "lock bumping" Demand more for your money from the company, When I called the company did not seem to care. If more folks call the company might listen. Remember it is your safety and the safewty of your family. Not all burglars kick in doors, there are still stealth burglaries. How fast does your police respond? Maybe it is time to buy a GLock instead of a lock.
I always read the 1 star reviews to hear the worst complaints about the item. Since this is a major problem and I expected more from SCHLAGE only 1 star is all that you deserve. Shame on all companies putting profits before customer safety!!!. Otherwise I like the lock
